Forgive or Forget - The Dilemma

Forgive and Forget are two different words but they are usually always used together.  You may not have realised but these two words are always used one after the other. Whenever you make a mistake, Arrey maaf kar de yaar (Please forgive me) Chal na, ab bhul jaa sab kuch (Now please forget everything) See, I proved my point there already! There is an old saying - Forgive and Forget! But are you sure you always pertain to it? Well in retrospect I as an individual believe in this concept but it’s quite difficult to follow it ahead somehow.  If there is even one memory that can remind me of an incident that hurt me, that makes it difficult to forget. We do forgive the person related to it, but there is always that memory we cling on too.  Do you know the reason behind this? It is because we are told to learn from our mistakes and not repeat them again. We need to cling on to the memory of that one mistake so that we do not repeat it all over again. Our brain is so complex, y...

Cheers to a great weekend

O2 Villas So the weekend of 14 th and 15 th of October, my friends and I went to O2 Villa in Igatpuri. So this is a beautiful place with a great scenic view. For those who love nature and want to spend your weekend the right way, this is the spot. So this is in Igatpuri as mentioned above. You can take your car and have an enjoyable experience. Another alternative is to travel by train. You can take a fast train to Kasara either from CST or Kasara. It is almost an hour and a half drive and not very tiring. After you get down at Kasara you can hail a share a cab to O2 Villas. It is just a 20 minutes ride from Kasara station. This place is literally heaven. It has 2 big bedrooms and 1 small room. In addition, it has a private pool with an awesome view. It is a great place to enjoy. Hope that it rains to adore the scenic beauty all around. You get complimentary breakfast and can order for lunch and dinner from nearby restaurants.  Attaching images to leave y...

Struggles of being a SHORTY!

Boho chic Being a shorty sometimes can be a menace... When you are young and if you have a sibling, you are happy that you have height. But once you hit puberty and your height doesn't increase, there starts all the taunts and teasing. Even your younger sibling would have height.  I myself had a great height when young but now only 5 ft, being the shortest among family and friends. The only advantage is standing in front for all photos and selfies.  Some struggles that I can list is: 1. People telling you to increase your height 2. Needing a tall guy (your selfie stick) to click great selfies 3. Always needing to look up while talking 4. People using you for support or to lean on 5. Being called a child every time 6. Getting advice to wear heels 7. Tiptoeing 8. Never find the right size for clothes or shoes 9. People doubting the way you drive 10. Getting lost in the crowd Some great advantages: 1. Being called "cute" 2. Always ahead for phot...

VALKYRIES

Valkyries by Paulo Coelho  is a self-autobiography. In this story, the writer describes himself. He pens down all his flaws and shortcomings, about his marriage, personal life etc. and how everything turned around to be good again. Here, Paulo describes himself as a Satan worshipper and believer of magic. He could not be employed in a job for a long time. He used to swap jobs at a drop of a hat. His wife, Christina stuck with him throughout all these turbulence. His mentor J ( James Redfield) provided him with a task (through a poem) to find his guardian angel. Paulo, being a stern follower and student, set out to Mojave desert with his wife Christina. His marriage did not have any meaning. Paulo Coelho would hardly communicate with his wife. He would just like to be with himself. Paulo already knew that “he had the tendency to kill what he loves”. So, on this trip, he wanted to consult all his demons and reverse his self-destructive path. Valkyries are leather-cla...

MAVERICK

Ricardo Semler the author of this book has narrated his story of raising the Semco with his father. This story would appeal to the people who have interest in starting their own business or already established themselves. Semco is a Brazilian company, founded by Alexander Semler. Ricardo Semler is the son who took the charge of the company. Semco was a family company. The unique thing about Semco was the way it would function. Firstly, the employees had flexible working time and could make their own goals and mitigate with their managers. Secondly, no walls in the office. Openly communicate with other employees. All the staff was taught how to read the balance sheet etc. Semco had an open office structure with a hierarchy. Throughout the journey, Semco faced a lot of challenges which included sacking some of their top-notch managers etc. Some of these managers transferred back to Semco after working for some other company in Brazil itself. The lessons that we learned from M...

Importance of Pets

On the  13 th  of March, 2016  I was able to spend my day with a week old puppy. This puppy was small and away from his mother. I called him “Whitey” because of his white fur. The best thing about a small puppy is that it is the cutest thing that one can lay their eyes on. When I laid eyes on the small puppy, there was an instant smile on my face. He was sleeping peacefully and shivering because of the fan above him, but as soon as I picked him up and brought him close, he curled up in a cocoon. He enjoyed the warmth provided to him. The fact about small puppies is that they sleep for longer hours, eat less and make noises to communicate that they miss their brood back home or their hunger or the cold. They shiver because they are small and always need warmth. If they are with their mother, they cuddle their mother for warmth. The pup was not able to walk correctly, but when once they smell you they can follow you. The only food that they eat is glucos...
