Plight in Mumbai

A sad day today for all the Mumbaikars! The space crunch is getting even worse. People lost their lives due to improper or inadequate facilities provided. The Government really needs to buck up. The news of the Elphinstone Road station stampede has shocked everyone. Being the last day of Navratri, many people throng to the Mahalaxmi temple and as it’s a working day, it is always crowded. But the death of 22 people (as declared in the news) is sad. Mumbai is a city with the ever-changing climate. Sometimes it is hot and another second raining heavily. Mumbai has never been ready for the rains. A month back, heavy rains again crippled the city. Potholes everywhere and now “STAMPEDE” due to space crunch. Numerous people throng to the city of dreams every day. The population is rising, but basic amenities are not yet upgraded. AC or bullet trains will not solve any population issue. Right now what Mumbaikars need are better amenities like proper roads, flood management, bette

Having Employees as Friends

Talking about the company I am working in, most of the employees are superb!!! Not everyone is that lucky to be friends with your colleagues. Not every colleague in the office is going to be great but actually who cares?? Having even 1 good friend at the office is bliss and I have 4. (Fingers crossed!!!!!!) We sit together, have lunch together, sometimes come together but definitely go to the station together. Cats are living things too

Momma cat with her kittens So, yesterday a family discussion made me realize that animals are not given same treatment as living beings. So my cousin takes care of stray cats at their home. Some of them have been fallen sick recently. The cat had a broken limb, wound, and maggots. In Mumbai, there is a hospital in Parel for animals. But they could not care for the cat there. There are many private hospitals for animals and pets around. They charge like a bomb for a visit but gets the work done. Certain doctors just charge for not even giving a satisfactory answer to the illness. It is sorry to hear that strays are not taken care of. They are also living things and have feelings. They need proper care as well. So, if there are NGOs in Mumbai, they really need to care for cats as well.

Finding the right job of your choice

So, it has been a long time since I have been able to take out time and blog. So today, it has been raining in Mumbai and the weather has persuaded me to write. So the topic I want to talk about is JOBS in Mumbai. Having faced it, I know how a fresher feels after graduating. Everyone says Mumbai is the “city of dreams” but finding a job is not easy. Even if you are a postgraduate and you are a fresher, you still remain jobless for months. I have had many people tell me that their friends are facing it (or faced it). Well, even my friends have. Even taking admission in a good and reputed college neither gets you a job nor the salary you expect. So, you need to follow the pointers that are there below. So, for all the graduates or postgraduates finding a job, these are some pointers that you can keep in your mind: Do your own SWOT analysis Figure out your career Try for placements in your own college Take experience before doing masters’ degree Start finding job at
