Forgive or Forget - The Dilemma

Forgive and Forget are two different words but they are usually always used together.  You may not have realised but these two words are always used one after the other. Whenever you make a mistake, Arrey maaf kar de yaar (Please forgive me) Chal na, ab bhul jaa sab kuch (Now please forget everything) See, I proved my point there already! There is an old saying - Forgive and Forget! But are you sure you always pertain to it? Well in retrospect I as an individual believe in this concept but it’s quite difficult to follow it ahead somehow.  If there is even one memory that can remind me of an incident that hurt me, that makes it difficult to forget. We do forgive the person related to it, but there is always that memory we cling on too.  Do you know the reason behind this? It is because we are told to learn from our mistakes and not repeat them again. We need to cling on to the memory of that one mistake so that we do not repeat it all over again. Our brain is so complex, y...

Go Green!

Recently, I fulfilled one more point off my Bucket List - Planted some home green plants. My window garden Global warming is increasing at an alarming rate and the rising swelter is getting a little unbearable as every day passes by. My 2018 resolution was to add more plants to my bedroom window. The pots consist of: A. Rose plant - that requires daily watering and fertilizer. B. An indoor plant. C. Money Plant. D. Hibiscus Flower. Why do I stress on the point of a plant nursery ? 1. Having plants around means more fresh oxygen. 2. You are connected with nature right from your home window. 3. You take a step towards saving the Earth and reducing the effects of climate change. 4. Having some greenery around also adds color to the interiors. You can also take steps towards sustainability: 1. Plant at least one flower pot in your house. You can also have an indoor plant or succulent that do not require watering on a daily basis. 2. Try t...

Aloe Vera to the RESCUE!!!

Aloe Vera How to get your skin naturally glowing pimple-free? Apply aloe vera.  It is the most natural moisturizer you can find. It is easy to grow in your homes as well.  What you need is  Aloe vera gel, fresh from the plant. Cut one leaf and cut out any thorns on them. Apply directly to the skin. It dries off easily and is light-weight on the skin. Keep it for like half an hour (or more as per your requirement) and remove with just water.  After this procedure, you will feel your skin refreshed and glowing. You can even apply aloe vera gel to your hair. It is best to provide softness and moisturization. For this, you can cut a few leaves, take out the pulp and grind it in the grinder. Then boil the gel with oil and store. You can use it for a longer time. If you do have tips regarding any natural home-made beauty tips, then please go forward and share.

Time-Pass PK

Dedicating a blog to another fun employee at my office. So PK is the technical guy coming all the way from Dombivli to Mahalaxmi. God knows how he travels. Being from a Maharashtrian family, he is teaching me new Marathi words and in turn I correct his English. Our normal day includes irritating each other and my favorite tagging him in memes. Other things we do: 1. Search designs for his sherwani ( not for his marriage though) 2. Hair cuts that would suit him 3. Removing errors in people's work we don't LIKE 4. Share samosa ( I have the crust and he eats whatever is left) 5. Monday and Tuesday he does not eat because he hates VEGETERIAN food 6. Irritating me throughout the day 7. His continuous singing (which can get irritating) Favorite singers: Vidya Vox, Shirley Sethia Favorite color: Red Favorite line: Why this Kolaveri Di?

Cheers to a great weekend

O2 Villas So the weekend of 14 th and 15 th of October, my friends and I went to O2 Villa in Igatpuri. So this is a beautiful place with a great scenic view. For those who love nature and want to spend your weekend the right way, this is the spot. So this is in Igatpuri as mentioned above. You can take your car and have an enjoyable experience. Another alternative is to travel by train. You can take a fast train to Kasara either from CST or Kasara. It is almost an hour and a half drive and not very tiring. After you get down at Kasara you can hail a share a cab to O2 Villas. It is just a 20 minutes ride from Kasara station. This place is literally heaven. It has 2 big bedrooms and 1 small room. In addition, it has a private pool with an awesome view. It is a great place to enjoy. Hope that it rains to adore the scenic beauty all around. You get complimentary breakfast and can order for lunch and dinner from nearby restaurants.  Attaching images to leave y...

Struggles of being a SHORTY!

Boho chic Being a shorty sometimes can be a menace... When you are young and if you have a sibling, you are happy that you have height. But once you hit puberty and your height doesn't increase, there starts all the taunts and teasing. Even your younger sibling would have height.  I myself had a great height when young but now only 5 ft, being the shortest among family and friends. The only advantage is standing in front for all photos and selfies.  Some struggles that I can list is: 1. People telling you to increase your height 2. Needing a tall guy (your selfie stick) to click great selfies 3. Always needing to look up while talking 4. People using you for support or to lean on 5. Being called a child every time 6. Getting advice to wear heels 7. Tiptoeing 8. Never find the right size for clothes or shoes 9. People doubting the way you drive 10. Getting lost in the crowd Some great advantages: 1. Being called "cute" 2. Always ahead for phot...
